Situation
Grocery lists live in chat threads and scraps of paper, and they fall apart as soon as two people shop for the same household.
Task
Build a modern Android app for managing grocery lists, with sign-in and data kept in the cloud.
Action
I built the app in Kotlin with Jetpack Compose for a declarative UI and an MVVM structure, with ViewModels holding screen state. Firebase Authentication handles sign-in and the Realtime Database stores the lists.
Result
A working Compose + Firebase grocery app, and the project where I learned MVVM on Android.
